I recently read A Hundred Happy Things (http://busaikko.livejournal.com/94799.html), by busaikko. It's an SGA AU (no Stargate), Harlequin romance-style, and John's had a sex change. (I know, I know, but it's actually really good! Um. I sound insane, don't I?) Or, if you want something a little bit less cracktacular, esteefee's Fair Trade (http://esteefee.livejournal.com/12350.html?style=mine), an SGA AU in which John is a coffee roaster and Rodney is a cranky customer. :-) Both of these are pretty long, but quite tasty.
