Yuletide!
I'm still alive! I've been all but entirely absent from fandom for, like, forever. But I am doing Yuletide this year! And I'm psyched about that -- both the writing, and the receiving. Yuletide yay! \o/ Which brings me to:
Dear Yuletide Person,
You are awesome. Truly. You’re going to write a fic just for me in one of my favorite little fandoms; who could ask for anything more? Thank you so, so much. I can’t wait to read what you come up with.
A story in any of these fandoms is going to make me happy, no matter what. But if it helps, I can tell you a bit about the things I tend to enjoy most in fic. (And if it doesn’t help, feel free to disregard it and follow your bliss.) It’s all about the characters for me, always. Meaty plots and PWPs can be equally awesome; het, gen, slash, all good – just be true to the characters. I’m a sucker for angsty fic with a hopeful ending. Clever wordplay and snark are quick routes to my heart.
Above all, I love reading fics where I sense that the author had fun with the writing, so write something YOU love and I'm sure I'll love it too.

Friday Night Lights
I inhaled all 5 seasons of FNL this year, and LOVED it. And now I want more! Pretty much anything that expands or continues the canon would thrill me. (Well, okay, there are a couple exceptions: I’d rather not hear more about the Big Dramatic Event of season 2, and intergenerational sexy!times would squick me out. But other than that, it’s all good.)
I didn't list characters because I have so much affection for them all that it was impossible to choose only four. But I will say that the cast of the early seasons imprinted the strongest on me. Tim Riggins, Jason Street, Matt Saracen, Tyra Collette, Landry Clark, Smash Williams, Lyla Garrity, Buddy Garrity, and of course Eric and Tami Taylor -- I adore all these characters so much. To spend more time with any or all of them would be a great, great gift.
Make It or Break It
So, I watched all of season 1 in the last 10 days, and will surely see season 2 before xmas. This show is my new guilty pleasure. But I’d love to see it grow up a tad. Which is to say, I want to see any of the major characters have to confront her own self-involvement in some way (and I know, they all have justifications for their self-involvement, but still, these girls act like they’re the center of the universe, and no one ever calls them on that), and/or I want to see some of the physical passion they pour into their work also get poured into, um, other things. (Sasha Beloff is staggeringly hot. I’m just saying.)
FWIW, I’m not a fan of Lauren and her endless drama-queening, and Summer really bugs me. But if you love either or both of them and want to convince me of their awesomeness, I’m curious to see where that leads you. Just, please, no Kelly Parker.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
I adore this movie, and haven’t read the books, so maybe some of what I’m curious about is covered in the comics. But I’d love to get some backstory on Scott (so many of his past relationships are hinted at, though never explained; how did he get to where he is when he meets Ramona?). And/or, I’d love to see more of Wallace, either his own adventures or just his POV on the events of the film. And/or, who IS Ramona? She’s like this very hip cipher; can you make her come to life for me? And/or, what is Knives’s life like? What’s her perspective? As with my Friday Night Lights request, pretty much any expansion or continuation of canon would make me really happy. Bonus points if you can get the style of the film into your fic, though I admit I have no idea how one might do that.
