I used to lurk. These days I slink. Which is like lurking, only more stylish.

For a good long time, I was monofannish, and it was all Smallville, all the time. Even while I'm aware that it's a ridiculously silly show, it was my first fandom love, and I was loyal for a year or two. But then I met Buffy & co. And then I met Due South. And now I seem to be drifting wherever the winds take me, because once you're giving way to decadence, you might as well enjoy yourself.

At this point, my fannish interests include: Due South, Smallville, BtVS, Firefly, Slings & Arrows, Harry Potter, and whatever else catches my attention on any given day. I squee, I write fic, I dig into the meta, and then I go for long periods without posting because life is like that. Geeks are my tribe, language is my toybox. I'm here to have a good time; wank and kerfuffles have no place here.

Friend me, defriend me, it's all good -- so long as you play nice.

ETA: I find the new LJ adult-content warning thingies unbelievably irritating. I can see why they're doing it, but gee, way to crap in my oatmeal, LJ. Sigh. Anyway, I have now labelled all the contents of this journal as explicitly adult, chiefly because it was the simplest of the options in front of me (and, to be honest, I don't feel much need to have 16-year-olds reading my posts. Sorry, 16-year-olds. I'm twice your age and we just don't have that much in common).

If anything, this has now tempted me to make all my journal entries much more raunchy. I mean, hell, if they're going to make me declare myself a pornographer, I might as well be a pornographer, damnit. Grrr.
