still more February porn

One last day of this theme; tomorrow we'll go to a darker place.

Today, however, we're still in The Night You Can't Remember.

Please note, today's vignette contains spoilers for "Shattered" and "Asylum" (SV 3.8 & 3.9). Given the theme, you knew I had to go there, right?

When Lex gets out of Belle Reve, with his memory wiped and that eerie peace in his eyes, there are things Clark knows he’ll never be able to tell him.

He’ll never tell him what his father did, or how Clark tried to stop it.

He’ll never tell him how he’d run away after saving Lex’s life. How he’d let Lionel Luthor’s men take Lex, out of fear of the alternative.

Above all, he’ll never tell him about that last night in Smallville. In the barn. When Lex had been crazy enough to tell Clark he loved him, and shaken enough to reach for physical comfort. When Clark had been desperate enough to help that he’d let Lex take what he wanted. Let Lex kiss him, undress him. Touch him there. And how good it had felt. How Lex’s fingers and Lex’s bruised skin were like sin and silk and things he hadn’t known he could want, and how suddenly he’d wanted more of it, wanted it all.

How he’d peeled Lex’s clothes away, silenced him with kisses when he’d gasped god, Clark, you don’t have to. How he’d mirrored with his hands and mouth all the things Lex did to him, all the things that were too good, that made him throb and ache and want. How they’d both had tears in their eyes, how when Lex had pushed inside him he had wept, and Lex had whispered to him, thrusting deeper and deeper, Ssh, love, it’s okay, baby it’s okay, god, just let me. Love you. Baby. How Lex had held him like something precious, like something he couldn’t bear to lose, and could never forget.

How he’d known that when they came out the other side of this, when Lex was all better, they would do this again and there could be no more secrets between them.

Now he forces himself to smile at Lex. “It’s good to have you back,” he says, knowing he’ll never have Lex back again, and that it was his choice.
