New theme!

The February porn project continues, with a new theme.

It's occurred to me that I've been remiss in not linking to the Magnetic Fields songs which are lending their titles to these vignettes. Courtesy of the mighty [livejournal.com profile] disprove, you can hear the referenced songs over here. The theme of the last few pieces was "Let's Pretend We're Bunny Rabbits," which is disk 1, track 9. Starting today, our theme is "The Night You Can't Remember," which you'll find on the third page; it's disk 3, track 19.

Please note, today's installment contains spoilers for "Zod" (SV season 6 episode 1).

The Night You Can't Remember
***
Lex has no memory of being Zod. Lana’s skittishness, his father’s revulsion, none of it makes sense to him, and for all his efforts, he can piece together only the slenderest sketch of what happened.

The first time he’s alone with Clark after coming back to himself, Clark is wary and closed off, but this is normal, and as such, it’s a relief. Clark obviously knows more than he’s saying about the last week, but Lex doesn’t even bother asking. Instead he kisses him, bringing their bodies together in the way they have never stopped wanting, whatever else was going on between them.

Clark kisses him back with abandon and sinks to his knees in front of Lex, which is when it happens. Lex feels a thrill of power that’s unfamiliar, a body memory that doesn’t belong to him, as Clark reaches for his fly. Something about the position – Clark kneeling, subjugated – electrifies Lex, and as Clark takes him in his mouth, he feels a rush like he could do anything. He could fly; he could conquer the planet; he could break this boy in front of him into pieces and enjoy it.

He grabs Clark’s hair in his fists and drives in harder and harder.

You never let us (fandom) down when it comes to writing the most wonderful things. :D

I try. :-)

Ooohhhh... I love how Lex starts to remember Clark kneeling at Zod's feet. ;) PERFECT!

Thanks! I've been wanting to do *something* with that image for months.

Yes, yes, yes. *happy contented sigh*

So glad you liked it!

Guh.

What, you expect a coherent comment after that? I spent the whole summer playing around with "Kneel before Zod" scenarios in my head, but all in all I far prefer "Kneel before Lex."

I'm very happy to get a guh. :-)

That, by the way, is a fabulous icon.

Fantastic! Love Lex enjoying his "dom" flashback.

Thanks so much! Somehow I imagine, of all the things Zod managed to do, dominating Clark like this would have been Lex's favorite part by far.

Amazing! Love Lex's moment of realization.

Thank you! I've really been wanting to use that image of Clark kneeling before Zod ever since -- when was it, September?

Oh, brilliant!! Yes!! I like this very much for I really like the idea of the Zod events having resonance for Lex and Clark, if only subconsciously.

Thank you!

I think part of why I liked "Crimson" so much was because a piece of that incredibly fraught Lex/Clark interaction from the Zod plotline finally came up again -- when Clark quoted Lex to Lana, about Lex wanting everything Clark ever had. I wish they'd given that more play (and maybe they will eventually, but I'm not holding my breath), because there was just so much interesting potential there.

Lex has really gotten short shrift all season, which is a shame, since the Zod events have to have had some impact on his thinking about power, and what he wants.

Yes, I agree. So far this hasn't been a strong Lex season. What I hope (and I really shouldn't get my hopes up, but I admit 'Crimson' raised the bar on them) is that the mystery of the pregnancy will in some way stem from the Zod experience--that in uncovering whatever nefarious purpose Lex has, we will learn that he's been influenced by that Zod experience. Zod was all about breeding: it's too good a connection to avoid! Zod has got to have had some influence on Lex! *clings*

Oh, that's wicked.
