A confession: I've been lurking in your LJs for the last six months, greedily reading all the SV fic.
I have, shall we say, some issues concerning my adoration for Smallville. The show is terrible, and yet I love it. I'm completely aware of all that's stupid, inconsistent, and just plain goofy about it, but I find it strangely beautiful and compelling. And my god, it has two of the most stunning men I've ever seen, who by all rights should be all over each other all the time. I never understood the appeal of slashfic until I started watching this show, and now I'm hopelessly addicted.
My living situation prevents me from watching the current season (or, for that matter, any TV as it's being broadcast -- damn, am I being cryptic enough?) but curiosity about what they were doing with the Superman myth drove me to rent season 1 many months ago. I now own the first 4 seasons on dvd.
Hoo boy.
And I can't remember who among the great slash writers I discovered first -- or, for that matter, how I discovered them. But if you're on my friendslist, it's because I've been reading your stuff for a while now and I love it. I know I forgot some names while I was making that flist, plus I'm sure there's no shortage of excellent stuff I haven't found yet, so if anyone sees this and can think of some brilliant sv-fic writers I left out, please let me know.
I don't have much interest in slash (or that matter, fanfic) outside of Smallville. I'm sure much of it is gorgeously written and/or blisteringly hot, but really, I have enough addictions already.
Oh, and I need to keep my clex-loving self separate from my RL-self, which is why I'm being absurdly guarded when it comes to revealing anything about my life. (While I'm at it, that's why I lurked in silence for such a long time. But it finally occured to me that I could create an LJ just for this, and actually tell people when I love their writing.)
