How did I miss this?

A while back somebody on my flist mentioned getting together with other fangirls and watching the commentary track for "Red," saying it was hilarious. This made me curious, as I'd never noticed any hilarious-sounding commentary tracks, so last night I put the dvd in and looked for the special features. The screen it brings up seems to offer only a commentary track by the producers, which just doesn't seem that interesting.

But then I realized I'm an idiot; at the bottom, where I'd thought it only offered a return to the main menu, there's also a little bitty arrow that leads to yet more special features. So I found the MR/TW/KK commentary track, which is indeed really funny, but far more importantly, I found the additional scene for "Heat." In which we get Lex -- naked, sweat-drenched, and having sex.

Let me say that one more time: Lex. Naked. Sweat-drenched. Having sex.

How in God's name was I unaware of this before? And for that matter, why on earth would they cut this scene from the episode? This scene should have BEEN the episode. Or perhaps an extra hour-long add-on: This week, on a very special Smallville, Lex gets laid. Again and again. I mean seriously, if you had heard that in a trailer, would you not have been ready to move heaven and earth in order to see the broadcast?

Now I'm wondering what other little porntastic treasures my dvds have been hiding from me. (Please, oh please, let Lex get lucky some more.)
