My First Crackfic (TM)

So this evening I went to see Crowded House with kassrachel and the_star_fish. And the concert was fantastic -- those guys put on a really great show, and they clearly have a terrific time doing so. Fabulous music, charming stage presence, a really lovely acoustic set in the middle, and everything was so good that I even forgive Neil for forgetting the words to one of my favorite songs. If you have the chance to see them play, I highly recommend them.

But that's not why I'm posting. Because before the show started, Kass and Starfish and I were chatting, as you do, about crackfic premises in different fandoms, and observing that when you've got a fandom that canonically includes aliens and/or magic, you can get away with almost anything. Genderfuck being a prime example. And I think it was Kass who posed the question, has anyone written genderfuck for BtVS? A fic in which Xander woke up one morning to find he was a girl, for example?

We immediately realized that such a story would not take long to tell. It could probably even be written as a haiku.

So that's what I've done. And I'm proud to note that this represents several different firsts for me, all in one tiny package. It's crackfic! It's sillyfic! It's genderfuck! It's a haiku! It's a dessert topping! Etc.
