Thanks so much! The Wash/sky connection was one that sort of emerged when I was revising this; I hadn't thought about it either, but then I realized that of course he'd have formative experiences that made him want to be in the sky, and he'd want to share that with Zoe. She's who she is because of her war experiences; there have to be reasons why Wash is who HE is.
(And also, I need some Firefly icons with other characters. Hmm.)
