A story of thanks
Apr. 13th, 2007 02:25 pmOnce upon a time there was a fangirl who had to go to an evening meeting, and the meeting sucked. The meeting sucked with much yelling for over three hours, and then on her way home from the meeting, the fangirl's car got stuck in snow and couldn't make it up her too-steep driveway, and as she was getting out of her car, the car door fell shut and clocked the fangirl squarely in the head. And it hurt, and then she had to trudge up a steep hill in the snow in the dark with a headache, and she was sad. So when she made it to her house, the fangirl drank a lot, and then slept a lot. She woke up still hearing yelling from her meeting, and she dreaded checking her email in the morning because she feared that there might be some follow-up yelling, so she procrastinated for a few hours, feeling very glum indeed.
But when she did check her email, the fangirl found an anonymous LJ gift, sent with such kind words that it cheered her right up. And then she was a much happier fangirl, and she resolved to spend her weekend working on SV fic as a thank-you to her anonymous friend. (Though she warns her anonymous friend that she writes really slowly, so it may be a while before she finishes and posts something.)
The end.
